Making Education Work Better for Patient Care

MEETING MANAGEMENT

Any education or communications strategy will involve meetings of some sort. Mediate has organized and run meetings and training programmes all over the world from workshops for 15 - 30 people to international conferences with over 1,200 delegates. Our experience and knowledge of your business and communication priorities enables us to tailor the organization and content of the meeting to your needs.

CONFERENCES

Conferences provide a wealth of opportunities for participants to update themselves on a wide range of topics, meet opinion leaders from all over the world and network with colleagues. Mediate has 10 years of experience of organizing conferences on behalf of medical groups. We have extensive experience of the detailed and varied needs of participants from all over the world. Abstract management, scientific program logistics, sponsorship & exhibition management, delegate mangement and accommodation are all dealt with by our dedicated team. All conferences managed and run by Mediate to date have been acclaimed as enjoyable, memorable and of high educational value. Some comments from evaluation reports:

"Thank you for doing a tremendous job! Your gentle guidance as we 'motored' through all the elements is appreciated".

Esther Green, Chief Nursing Officer, Canada, 2006

"The organization of this conference is to be commended. Amazingly professional. Overall a great job, thank you".

Delegate, ICCN Sydney 2004

"Thank you for all of your efforts in putting together such a wonderful conference".

Professor Linda Sarna, UCLA USA 2004

"I have had the pleasure of corresponding with Mediate Health regarding the ICCN conference in Toronto, Canada. The staff are very well organized, attentive to detail and highly efficient in providing conference information. I have been most appreciative for their time and effort as I was able to meet several submission deadlines because of their expedient help. Mediate have been a wealth of knowledge regarding conference logistics, thereby enabling me to make more informed decisions for symposia planning. While we often work at a hectic pace, I think it is important to pass on a complimentary word when it is so well deserved."

Kristine Dorward, Product Manager, Roche Canada 2006

SMALLER MEETINGS

Smaller meetings for 10 – 100 participants, either linked to a conference or as stand-alone programmes can be very effective in the delivery of specific messages or the provision of training. Pre-selected audiences give a much better "return on education", with information shared having a much greater chance of changing practice. With our worldwide network of healthcare professionals we are able to engage the key participants for a focus group, advisory board or satellite symposium. Those individuals with the influence and know-how to provide in-depth experience & knowledge as well as being able to change practice are crucial to the outcomes of a successful meeting.

Getting extended exposure for meeting content, through broadcasts, publications and follow up communications is important to achieve maximum recall and uptake of information. Mediate delivers program and communications strategies that deliver the objectives as fully as possible.

Workshops for in-depth training are a particular area of expertise. Developed as collaborations between medical groups, they invariably deliver a high level of commitment to changing practice and the development of further training programmes in the participant's country.
